$53,362.59GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The purpose of the class is to
operate and repair complex mining machinery and/or equipment that
require extended training and experience. Perform routine
inspections and preventive maintenance on all quarry equipment and
tools, repair defects and report corrective action to the
management staff. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 1. Operate mining equipment
to include the crushing plant and rolling stock.2. Inspect
equipment to ensure safe, proper working conditions, repair and
report corrected defects and routine maintenance performed to
supervisor.3. Perform routine maintenance, repairs and cleaning of
crushing plant and other equipment.4. Use welding and cutting
torches as needed for fabrication. 5. Review and suggest
modifications to work methods to increase efficiency.6. Perform all
duties in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws,
regulations and standards of quality and safety.7. Assist
co-workers with various duties as required. 8. Assist in
coordinating maintenance duties with management.9. Use hand and
power tools in various manual tasks as needed. 10. Perform routine
maintenance and cleaning of assigned tools and equipment. 11.
Respond to after hour emergencies as required.Essential Job Duties

ABILITIES: Knowledge of and ability to operate heavy
equipment;Knowledge and experience with maintenance of heavy
equipment;Knowledge of the organization's operations, services and
policies;Ability to communicate orally and in writing;Good welding
and use of cutting torch skills;Good motor skills;EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:The educational requirement for this position is:
Completion of high school/GED.Education may not be substituted for
experience.Related-experience required: 4 yearsExperience may not
be substituted for education.LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR
REGISTRATIONS: Certifications, licenses, professional designations,
or other qualifications required for this position include: MSHA
Miner Training, Valid State Driver's LicenseCertifications,
licenses, professional designations, or other qualifications
preferred for this position include: CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker
certification to operate quarry fuel truck.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL
