Responsibilities:

--- Oversee associate dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans
--- Coordinate and perform preventive dental care treatments such as sealants, x-rays, flossing, fillings, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
--- Instruct patients on the use of recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene
--- Identify oral diseases and provide appropriate treatment for common dental problems including cleanings, restoration, root canals, and surgical extractions
--- Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists when appropriate


Qualifications:

--- Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry
--- Great communication skills and bedside manner are vital
--- Up-to-date knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is desired
--- A Doctor of Dental Surgery/DDS or Doctor of Dental Medicine/ DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor's degree are required
--- Current and unrestricted state license in good standing
--- Years of experience working with restorative cases & surgical procedures
