Role Overview Atrium Health Radiology seeks skilled professionals to lead ultrasound examinations, working closely with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians. In this role, you will prioritize and coordinate exams, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Job Responsibilities

• Verify patient orders and examines requests to ensure accurate exam performance.
• Support radiologists in performing invasive procedures and contribute to developing a superior examination technique.
• Evaluate exam quality and implement measures to enhance efficiency within the department.
• Embody the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by prioritizing patient needs and providing excellent care.
• Report equipment malfunctions and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Operate the Radiology computer system, including exam entry and supply management. Physical and Mental Demands
  This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in patient handling, equipment movement, and standing/walking during normal operations. The position demands mental skills to read and comprehend patient orders and technical materials, as well as motor coordination to operate equipment. Education and Certifications Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) is required. A comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program graduate is preferred, along with Basic Life Support certification. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
