Together, we can achieve great things.Our company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to be located in our Charlotte, NC branch that will be responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of accounts receivable, manages customer accounts, and facilitates timely collections of outstanding invoices. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities:Processes customer credit applications, including contacting trade references and acquiring required documents and formsSets up new customers in the ERP systemConducts collections by reviewing aging reports for assigned portfolio of accounts and contacting customers by phone and email to inquire on payment statusMonitors customer credit limits and average days to payEscalates delinquent accounts to management or external collection agencies as requiredApproves daily customer orders based upon designated financial criteria and coordinates internal approvals in accordance with company policy when requiredProcesses credit card payments for customersProcesses daily bank deposit and posts cash receipts to customer accountsPrepares and submit invoices and statements to customersResolves customer billing issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.Issues credit memos for returned materialAnswers phones professionally with a customer-centric frame of mindMaintains detailed records of collection efforts and communicationsProvide support to the branch team by answering inquiries related to accounting and collections.Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications:Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related role.Skills and Competencies:Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).NetSuite ERP experience highly preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Customer-service oriented with a professional demeanor.Ability to work independently.Accounts Receivable Specialist Benefits:401(k) & matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAmerican Metals Supply is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
