Description:Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Networking Operations Technician Team Lead to oversee and manage
network operations team (6 technicians currently) . The ideal
candidate will have extensive experience in network infrastructure,
troubleshooting, and team leadership. This role is crucial in
ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the network
systems.Candidates must be able to convert permanent after six
months with the client without sponsorship. Network Monitoring and
Incident Troubleshooting--- Support Data, Voice, Security, and
Wireless networking systems globally in a Network Operations
Center--- Troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose network problems,
either alone or as part of the team--- Monitor and respond to all
applicable alarms and act as a central communications center for
all telecom issues--- Support inbound requests from the helpdesk
and end users--- Manage carrier and supplier escalations ensuring
prompt incident resolution--- Coordinate field service technicians
to respond to and restore services--- Coordinate with suppliers and
internal resources, assist in communications and/or status updates
to branch sites with network issues--- Thoroughly document steps
taken to troubleshoot and resolve incidents within the company's
knowledgebaseOperations--- Ensure all activities are properly
documented and tracked through a ticketing system--- Maintain
network related data; update network information in IT's database
of sites, including providing on time written reports/status to IT
management--- Maintain current, high-level technical skills in
technologies the company has or may adopt. Keep abreast of
developments in networking technologies.--- Participate in rotating
on-call schedule--- Participate and/or be part of the NOC
continuous improvement activitiesLeadership and Team Management:-
Lead and mentor a team of network technicians, providing guidance
and support.- Assign tasks and projects, ensuring timely and
efficient completion.- Conduct regular performance reviews and
provide feedback.Network Operations:- Oversee the installation,
configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software,
including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.- Monitor
network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal
operation.- Implement and maintain network security measures to
protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.Project
Management:- Plan and execute network-related projects, ensuring
alignment with company goals and timelines.- Collaborate with other
departments to understand and meet their networking needs.- Manage
vendor relationships and coordinate with external service
providers.Documentation and Reporting:- Maintain detailed
documentation of network configurations, processes, and
procedures.- Generate regular reports on network performance,
incidents, and resolutions.- Ensure compliance with industry
standards and regulatory requirements.Eligibility requirements
