At Prisma Health, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team. As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments.

• 
  
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care (10%)
  
• Arrange for patient appointments, diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to the hospital (10%)
  
• Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment (10%)
  
• Document patients' vital statistics and other encounter data into patient charts and ensure all required records are in the chart (15%)
  
• Call in prescriptions for patients according to physician orders (10%)
  
• Prepare exam rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment (5%)
  
• Receive and return clinically related telephone calls, screening and forwarding those requiring physician action (15%)
  
• Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies (10%)
  
• Inform physicians of changes in schedule (5%)
  
  Accountabilities
  As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  Requirements
  Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  One year experience as a Registered Nurse (successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or comparable residency accepted)
  Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina
  Work Environment
  This position requires shift work, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
