Atrium Health Levine's Childrens Hospital(LCH) has taken the

growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is
the largest childrens hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC.
It serves high acuity patients as the flagship childrens hospital
within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of
over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric
specialties. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU
(including Cardiac ICU), an 85-bed Level IV NICU,and an inpatient
pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Childrens Hospital is also
Charlottes only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, staffed by doctors

Job Summary
The MRI Technologist I perform procedures in accordance with
departmental protocols and standards. Operates MRI Scanners and
associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This
equipment includes scanner, post processing stations/programs, IV
contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport and
patient monitoring equipment.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving
patients, equipment and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and
sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to
stretch, bend twist, squat or kneel in the daily operation of the
MRI department. May be exposed to various physical conditions
throughout the day such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing
stairs, being near moving equipment. Required to use radiation
safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in
Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a
ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required. ARRT
certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear
Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI
required within one year of hire. CPR certification required.
Current CPR certification required.
