Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical/Surgical (MS) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift, 3 days a week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience and 2 years of RN experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse Certifications: - NIHSS - BLS - ACLS - CPI (Must be Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training course) - BSN (Highly desired) Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program Job Description: - Fulfill the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. - Deliver care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. - Apply knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. - Demonstrate the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients' needs. - Demonstrate an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients. - Make initial assessments and determine appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Perform initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. - Complete admission assessments in the timeframe established by policy and procedures.
