Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, SC is assisting an established primary care practice recruit an Internist. The practice has been in Aiken for eight years and currently has a single physician; additional staff includes two MAs and front office personnel. There is a strong need for primary care in the Aiken area, so a new physician can expect to build a practice quickly. The practice is busy, averaging 20 to 25 patients per day in one office location, and offers a traditional mix of office-based and inpatient care. The practice has a significant volume of elderly patients, so previous experience with the elderly is a plus. Ideal candidates will be BC/BE and interested in growing an established practice in a vibrant community. Compensation is very competitive and includes a base salary, benefits and other incentives. The position offers a partnership track, with the potential to take over the practice in the future.
